Love Letters requests that you keep the cards fun, positive and uplifting. Since we like to keep the cards encouraging, please do not write messages such as: Get Well Soon or Hope You Are Feeling Better. Thanks!! The cards can be made using cardstock or even construction paper. You can draw pictures, use stickers and/or stamps to create the cards. We have found the best sizes for cards are 4x51/2, 4x6 or 5x7. |
We accept any quantity of cards. We have recently received 25 cards from a chapter in Georgia, 67 cards from a local chapter, and 19 from 2 individual volunteers. Please do not feel you have to send large quantities, each card is greatly appreciated. |
Please sign the cards with a phrase like one of the following: “Your Love Letters Friend”, “Your Friend at Love Letters” or “Your Love Letters Pen Pal” |
We are working with Give Kids The World, www.gktw.org., by providing cards for the children and their families when they stay in the magical villas. |
We work with the Ronald McDonald House, www.rmhccf.org by providing cards and gifts. |
We have also teamed up with some local hospitals which require confidentiality of patient’s names. So for that reason, the cards do not have the children’s names on them, but because they are signed using something like, “Your Love Letters Pen Pal” or “Your Love Letters Friend”. The children and their parents know who the cards are coming from and they are excited about receiving a “Love Letters Pen Pal” card. |
Due to confidentiality, we do not release the names and addresses of the children. |
My Longwood Love Letters chapter sorts the cards and makes sure the cards get to the appropriate children (boys, girls, teen boys or teen girls). Since we sort the cards, please do not seal the envelopes. Thanks! |
